Hime is a character in the Sunny Apple TV+ series.

Biography[]

Hime has a prosthetic pinky finger connected to Masa and the Dark Manual.

Appearances[]

Mmmm, Hinoki[]

Hime receives a new prosthetic pinky finger from her prostheticist as two of her men beat up and torture a man in the backroom.

When Suzie and Mixxy seek out a man named Tendo for answers concerning the Dark Manual, Hime observes them as they head to his room. Afterward, when Suzie realizes that Sunny has entered an underground robot fighting league, Hime tries to stop Suzie from taking Sunny away. Sunny defends Suzie and pushes Hime away, causing her prosthetic pinky finger to fall off. As Suzie and Sunny leave, Suzie accidentally steps on Hime's finger.

The next day, during Masa's funeral, Hime is seen in attendance.

Sticky[]

Hime appears when she's contacted by one of her cohorts and then tries to convince her father to abdicate his power to her when he retires. However, he notes that unless she finds the Dark Manual, they won't speak any further about it.

Eventually, a group of Yakuza talks about Hime and one of the Yakuza named Jin, who was next in line to succeed Hime's father as leader of their Yakuza group. Their conversation is crashed when one of Hime's cohorts, Tetsu, appears and breaks up the conversation; after interrogating one of the men there named Botan, he kills him. Hime would later order her men to raid Suzie's home in search of the Dark Manual.

Joey Sakamoto[]

Hime appears in Suzie's brief dream, and her prosthetic finger is left behind when Sunny goes missing.

Kyoto Manjū, So Delicious[]

Hime captures Suzie and coerces her to reveal the password to Masa's laptop, and amid this, she learns that her father had passed away. To Hime's surprise, Suzie understood that Hime's father had passed away after hearing the phrase said to those who have lost loved ones.

There’s Been a Shift[]

A flashback shows Hime was responsible for Councilor Ito's death.

Standing before her father's corpse, Hime learns that her father wasn't alone when he died and that his Nephew Jin was also there. At that moment, Hime contacts Tetsu about what she learned, who informs her about a meeting that Jin was holding. Returning to the Yakuza base, Jin, standing in front of the other mob bosses, gets Hime into a verbal dispute with Hime, who accuses him of being the murderer of her father. However, this conversation derails after Hime learns that they're holding a vote on whom will become the next boss of the organization.

Eventually, it's revealed that Jin was voted in as the new boss, and when Tetsu commits his loyalty to Hime, Hime asks him to fetch his gun.

Trash or Not-Trash[]

While interrogating the electronic store owner's daughter, Risa, Hime learns that Suzie visited her shop for a check-up on Sunny after it attacked her friend Mixxy. Upon learning this, Hime contacts someone and informs them that it's time.

Who's in the Box?[]

In an impromptu version of "Who's in the Box?" Hime appears as the one in the box. She reveals that she didn't upload the Junk League code into Sunny, but manipulated her to break her moral code and commit several misdeeds.

The Dark Manual[]

Hime confronts Suzie and Zen after Sunny kills Tetsu; before Suzie is led away by one of her cohorts, she gives her condolences to Suzie about Masa, implying that he's truly dead. Once Suzie and Zen are gone, Hime adjusts Tetsu's body in a presentable manner and leaves.

She later entered the food truck, where Yuki had difficulty hacking into Sunny. After learning that Jin was already there, she threatened Yuki with working faster.

Afterward, Hime visits Jin and offers him a bottle of sake that her father once favored. As she tries to pour him a glass, she breaks the bottle and cuts herself. Jin offers her a white napkin to staunch the bleeding and suggests his homebot serve them tea instead. Jin accepts, but this is interrupted after Suzie causes a stir outside. Because of this, Jin leaves with everyone there, and not wanting things to end that way, Hime takes a large shard of glass from the broken bottle and stabs Jin to death.
